@Moparman485 have you tested the Hornady 2265 55gr SP No cannelure on that one.

I have tried it on 2 does and both went over 500 yards.
Penciled almost all the way through no violent expansion with a behind the shoulder shot pencil through the heart.

Found on the off side just under the hide perfect mushroom.
I no longer use it on deer.
I use the 55gr V-Max as it will explode a heart or put so much shock into a critter it makes it drop like a pallet of bricks.

That 55 SP the deer take off like they were never shot.

I have tested the 55gr Hornady SP boat tail (with cann), it was actually one of the best performing 223 Projos. (My ring in the block is directly above where the projo stopped in the gel. Block was just too used to show good damage path so I circled it)

I had to wait until I bow shot a deer and cut it's head off at the shoulders and do penetration tests with the 55Gr. V-max.

I bet gel block would be easier to score.
