Quick trip to Wichita info?

Will be running up to Wichita soon, probably just an overnight trip...leave Friday morning, arrive midday/early afternoon...will have stuff going on early Sat AM...just wondering about a good place to eat (family), maybe anywhere to avoid...we'll be staying on the NW side between the airport and Maize...also any quick stops while in town? Never been to Wichita except to pass through, TIA

Strouds is really good. North of K96 on Hillside. Tastes like grandmas fried chicken.

Lots of good restaurants on Rock Road from the mall on Kellogg and several miles north.
The Northern part of Webb Road has some good places to eat as well.

Hey...I resemble that remark...

...as a kid, I once roped Mama's rooster and he choked down. I removed the rope and put it away, and then went back about 4 or 5 times to see if he was going to get up.

He finally did, and Mama never knew I did it.

Wichita has many local eateries that you won't find in Oklahoma. I think we've eaten at about most of the notable ones and all have been good. We'v not eaten at any of the BBQ restaurants though.
