I was going to work last week, saw a trooper on the eastbound side of 40, thought ok only so many to an area lol, pushed it to about 85 and I did hit 90 briefly.. Well low and behold I came up on black suv and I saw it and slowed, he pull his foot off the gas and let me pass and pulled me over. He says good morning, I say good morning. He says you 1 of them guys that likes to get to work early, I said yes sir more minutes on clock more overtime pay. I hand him my DL and ins card and say it may be an expired card, he says I know you have ins. He sits for just a minute and returns. Tells me to keep it under 85 and I say thank you and we fist bump and wish each a great day.. 15 over gets ya reckless so I was tickled pink it didn't cost me some serious coin. The wife would have not let me forget about that for YEARS to come. Be polite, tell the truth, no lame excuses and you may come out ok and of course the thin blue line flag didn't hurt none. Ain't had a radar detector since the 90's, must be my good looks lmao. Now to knock on some wood.
