Post up, lets hear some homesteader chatter and see pics. ANY thing goes as a homesteader. You city slickers can participate too if ya got something growing on.. Hehe.
Home grown miniature beef, sirloin cut 1.25" thick, 5 minutes each side on the grill and it still had some kick to it. lol.
Nothing but salt and pepper oh so good and enough left I'll get a steak sammich.

I seeded one of my food plots WAY too heavy with turnips. May have to see what all I can do with them.
Put a hole through them with a nail, and tie a string through them to the top wire of a fence, letting them hang with a proper backstop. Let the kids/grandkids shoot them with a .22. They "explode" nicely and kids like reactive targets vs punching paper.

November 6th, a 5 gallon bucket full wrapped in non inked paper and stored in un heated utility room, we'll see how this plays out. With any luck garden tomatoes for a spell.

They may be from your garden, but probably won't taste like it.

The 'maters you get at the grocery store are picked green like that so they can stand up to the rigors of shipping & handling.
