Watering wands, any of ya'll know of a heavy duty long lasting one ? This one here is about 2-3 months old and dribbles far worse than I do. Yes I need to burn the fray.

Does anyone know where I can buy canned, or frozen, polk greens? Allen Canning Co. in Siloum Springs used to can this, but quiit a few years ago.
Allen Canning Co. last batch was a little more than a few years ago. I'm pretty sure it was April or May of 2000 they quit canning them. I haven't found a replacement for them though I quit actively looking many years ago.

So hack #1 of wrapping green maters for storage worked like a charm and took us into Feb.
Hack #2 is water glassing avacodos , water only no pickling lime. This avacodo is better than 2 weeks old. The consistency of it was a bit moister naturally but the flavor was all there. On the counter it would have been compost some time ago. Submerged in water and kept in the fridge.

Cool. How does it compare to keeping one in the fridge without water for a couple weeks?

Just curious.

Post up, lets hear some homesteader chatter and see pics. ANY thing goes as a homesteader. You city slickers can participate too if ya got something growing on.. Hehe.
Home grown miniature beef, sirloin cut 1.25" thick, 5 minutes each side on the grill and it still had some kick to it. lol.
Nothing but salt and pepper oh so good and enough left I'll get a steak sammich.
While at the Hinton drag races I heard chicks for layers and chicks for meat production were selling at the Eric Chicken Auction for $30 and $50 per head. Is this about right?
