Took a five dollar surplus shovel from army surplus and a 3 dollar pair of hedge clippers from a yard sale and made myself a krazy beaver style shovel. Dremmeled off in small parts the teeth so as to not over heat the metal and loose temper. Took one of the handles from the clippers and boom. I will probably wrap the handle in sports tape, and am thinking of painting the shovel head flare orange since it will be part of my jeep recovery kit. I have another shovel, and the other handle so will be making another one. So either 80$ for a crazy beaver or less than 7$ for this.

So I had everything out anyway so went ahead and assembled the second short shovel. Then I recalled I had a spike that was given to me a while back and figured I would use the shovel shaft and drilled out a 3/8 hole and the spike slid right in. I do t hog hunt with a spear, but if I did... another super cheapo.

Well, didn’t make it, but had to do some carpenter work this evening.
Stained some trim boards along with some router work to match the original work and painted some panels to put in the RV interior.
We had a major issue with a RV dealer and had to do some repairs on our own.
He left the roof vent open during torrential rains that resulted in black mold in one area that we killed but the panel and trim was ruined.
This is just a basic patch until we get to our next destination and have an upholstery expert take over.

Don't drop it. My old boss I had for a summer job in high school didn't put the cap on an oxygen bottle that was mounted on the side of a truck. When he threw it onto his shoulder he got it too high and it went over his back with the valve down.
Fortunately, it only cracked the valve and it spun on the floor for a looooong time before running out of gas.

Back in the early seventies, I was following a truck that had a couple dozen gas bottles chained up. An O2 bottle that wasn't secured slid off the back, broke the entire neck off the bottle, it launched back up into the truck, scattered all the chained up bottles, continued up into the upper level of a warehouse, and came out the other side (About 100 feet through the building), and clanged to the parking lot on the far side of the building. The screech of the O2 coming out of that bottle made my ears ring for days. I thank the Lord it didn't come in my direction. My little Fiat 850 wouldn't have been much protection!
