Took my new gun to the range today; quite a few reports on youtube say this is a MOA gun right out of the box, and gotta say this one is.

I shot 3 rd groups.
The first target was all Hornady 140 gr ELD Match, the first 3 rds were MOA.
I adjusted the scope and got a slightly smaller group.
Adjusted the scope one more time and my group opened up a bit, this may have been me.
Zeroed the scope at this setting.

The second target I tried 3 more cartridges, all were right about 1 MOA.
This is my first long range rifle, so far I'm a happy camper.
I don't plan on getting real serious with it, I would just like to be decent at 600-800 yds, maybe 1000.

Agreed, I wouldn't get to concerned till you have 50-100 rounds down the pipe. Those groups aren't bad for off the shelf rifle and ammo. Spend some trigger time getting comfortable with it and you will be gtg.

Just shoot it and then clean it when it gets dirty enough to bother you.. like it leaves carbon stains on your hands. All those break-in methods are magical juju and aren't proven.

If you hand load for 6.5CM, you can easily get 1/4" to 3/8" MOA. I've done it on one of my 308 AR platform builds with a Ballistic Advantage barrel, Varget, and 140gr bullets.
