Another interesting note is that, in the movies, 007 carried a Walther PP and not a PPK. A lot of speculation as to why. One of the rumors is that the PPK appeared too small for Sean Connery's hands on screen

Welp, I had no clue. Now I have to go do some lookin' to see this.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words. So here are some pictures; note the first three are the PPK. The next to last seems to be the PP. But the last one is a Walther P5. Yep, it’s a Walther P5

And one more photo just to clarify; the top gun is the Walther PP, the one on the bottom is the PPK. You’ll notice the only difference is the slightly longer muzzle of the PP. I think we can safely say then that the actual pistol used by 007 just depends. No doubt, the PPK is most recognized but that is probably because Fleming used that variant in

his books.

You cant go by stills used for movie posters. Here is one with timothy Dalton that is clearly a PP and not a PPK

I also made a mistake in reading. The PP was only used in Dr No.

On a side note, Never say never again should NEVER be considered a 007 film, Its a BAD remake of Thunderball

It may just be my old eyes lying to me but that PP looks bigger overall.

Well you got me. Of course it looks bigger overall; because it is. The PP holds one more round than the PPK. The PPK/S is a combination of the two; the PP frame and the PPK slide. I was talking about the upper, but I worded my response very poorly and stand corrected. Thank you.

I also think a PPQ was used in one of the Daniel Craig flicks, as well as a PPK/S that had some kind of slick, security secret decoder ring kinda grips?

I still would like to have a West German PPK in either .32 ACP or .22LR. The .380ACP pistols bite like hell if you aren't careful. Accurate as they can be, but not the most fun gun to shoot; for some people. You have to grip it like you’re serious and not like a girly man or it will bite. Google “Walther Bite” ... or just shoot one with a limp wrist if you’d rather experience it for your selfie.

My thumb knuckles says otherwise, hate shootings Joel's PPK. I want to like it

I am sitting here holding mine trying to figure out how it is hitting your thumb knuckle, I can see if you hold it a certain way how it could whack a knuckle. May be a case of you have normal size hands!! Works great with my big ass hands!!
Also looking at the pics on here it appears mine is a PP !!
