[QUOTE="Hangfire, post: 3276432, member: 27673"] I worked overseas for several years and between that, flying while in the Army and vacations I've got more than my fair share of being in a airplane.......from my very first time up at age 17 I never cared for flying but considered it a necessary evil. On my last fishing trip to Great Slave Lake in the NWT back in about 95' or so the float plane I was in went down, I took that as 'a sign' and swore right then that I'd never board another plane of any type for any reason......if I can't get there by road or rail I ain't going, period. Anyway, the wife just saw a deal on the morning news that said that by Oct. 2020 in order to fly / board a plane in the U.S. you've got to have what is called a "Real ID" which is some sort of ID card with a star in the upper corner and she's wanting us to get one......I reminded her that even if I had tote sack full of "Real ID'S" there ain't enough linebackers in the NFL to physically put me on a 'silver bird'. :) For those that do fly have you gone through the process to get a "Real ID" ?
