Wife is in some college classes with a couple of people who have friends that work(ed) there. They said there were quite a few employees that would notify their friends when they'd get trucks of "good stuff" (electronics, etc.), and they would let them help themselves. Apparently there were quite a few of them, and the losses were pretty bad. They said that's the reason for the closing: rather than try and weed out who all was involved, go through the HR nightmare, and possibly face suits from those who'll cry some kind of "ism", they'll just close the store temporarily and make the employees re-apply for their jobs, and just not hire them back. Done and done. Makes sense to me.
