That is the problem. You can't tax the ones who aren't the issue along with the ones that are. Better to just charge the people who consume the hospital services in the first place than to try to tax it. Even then, how would you possibly get those tax dollars where they should go.

They should have made MJ like any other medication and issued prescriptions for it for medicinal use like any other medication.
Prescription thc is available and I don't know why it isn't discussed more often. A Google search reveals at least 4 thc prescription drugs.

I've always held the belief that individuals can make decisions about what they do with their lives, as long as they don't harm others. However, as an educator and school administrator I have now seen what the legalization of MJ is doing to our kids and it isn't good. Getting high is becoming normalized and I do not see any upside to that. We, our society, will pay a price that I'm now convinced is detrimental. I don't have the answer, but I know that going forward I will not support legal recreational use.

From retired cops perspective recreational marijuana in Colorado has ruined the work ethics of the young people Especially those that claim that it is not addictive but leads to illegal drug usage We have enough problems without adding more Surrounding states suffer also prosecuting those that take it across state lines😢😢😢
As a retired LEO of 43 years, I won’t say that marijuana use always leads to more illegal drug use. I will say that of the hundreds of drug addicts using coke, meth, heroin, etc I have talked to, every one of them used marijuana as their first illegal drug. Our society is slowly being dumbed down. We have fallen far behind other countries we used to be ahead of in education. I don’t think legalizing more drugs will improve this situation.

But it involves all of us when our country has been run into the ground paying for deadbeats. If your argument is they are on their own when they choose to be deadbeats; I am with you on that. Even so, I'd still rather live in a country where people choose not to be deadbeats.

It’s already against the law for kids to drink or get a card. This seems more like a parenting failure.

In many cases you are correct, but even the best parents have an uphill battle that now has one more very powerful obstacle. Regardless of who is to blame, the problems resulting from the normalization of MJ are being dealt with by educators. One more issue that distracts from our objective.

Regarding the talk about casinos earlier, there are two non-tribal casinos in Oklahoma. Remington Park and Will Rogers Downs are are regulated under the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission, and not through a tribal entity. Although there was talk here about opening it up to non-tribal operators, I can tell you with first hand knowledge that the state brings in a mountain of cash each year through the class 3 gaming compact they have with the tribes (which recently renewed, with no thanks to the governor). How they allocate and use those funds is something we can all debate, and I'm sure that most of us would find issue with how the state uses that money currently. Make no mistake though, it isn't as if they aren't making anything off of those casinos. The numbers are absolutely astounding, and I see them.

Grumpy was the same. Me "partaking" was gonna be a deal-breaker at the beginning of our relationship 20-some odd years ago. Now he's constantly telling me if I wanna stop going to PM and get my card he'll back me 100% ... And "**** the feds" ... 😳 I nearly fainted dead away! 😂😂

If I thought it would help I would definitely switch ... Problem is since the tree caused a bunch of damage to the nerves themselves (not just pain from pressure on the nerves) everything I've read, seen and heard leads me to believe it wouldn't help me even as much as what I'm doing now ... HOWEVER, the DAY I get that official Parkinson's diagnosis I'm WILL be finding a pain management place that will allow me to use MJ ...

A lot of my pain is from stenosis in my spine (from an old injury) encroaching on nerves. It causes lots of issues with my legs due to the nerve damage.

When I tried the gummy (I think it was 25 mg) it didn't necessarily take the pain away in my legs but it really helped me to relax to the point I didn't notice (or focus so much on) the pain. Might work that way for you, too.

I still haven't ruled it out completely. I'm also in the f*** the feds camp... I hope something works for you...I know how miserable it is.

Wasn’t the income from casinos supposed to be used for the good of Oklahoma too? Hmmmm.
That’s how it was sold to us. That it would be an end to all public education Financial problems. Schools would have all the money they need and they wouldn’t have to raise taxes on us. Typical Democrat lie.

Here’s a tie in thought: instead of worrying about who is or isn’t utilizing MJ, we flip the script and get the gov out of property taxes?

Anyone else tired of never truly owning their own place? Let’s change the tax system here in Oklahoma. If MJ is part of that, I’m ok with that.

I think they should revert and make it like how it used to be in the 17 1800s. If you don’t own land you can’t vote. That would solve even more problems.

What were your conclusions on those magazines with the mini? The plastic ones still giving you issues?
To much going on and have not had a chance to get to the range. Daughter in for test, relative died today with another on hospice, wife messed up her back. So pretty much SNAFU.

Going to try again next week when it cools off a bit.

Hand cycling with 55 and 62 grain 5.56 works a lot better than the ballistic tip, but the ballistic tip hand cycle just fine in the 20rd steel Ruger mag I have. They do not drag on the front of the mag.
