Increased revenue.
What's it going to be used for? For the schools and to aid our children? Thats the usual garbage they feed us at election time and the schools never see much if any at all. We all need revenue. By the way, politicians and pollsters lie.

Wasn’t the income from casinos supposed to be used for the good of Oklahoma too? Hmmmm.

Parimutuel gambling, liquor by the drink, rinse and repeat....

The lottery ... it was all for the kids ... for the schools ... for the teachers ...

Yeah, how much of it got there?

My heart doctor is about as "all business" as they come. He told me I needed to get some gummies for the arthritis in my hips cause he knows I don't want any of the pharmacy pain pills. I was shocked they he suggested that so maybe there is something to the medical benefits of marijuana.

you realize it just like.....grew outside those podunk towns before it became "illegal" right?
In my job I’m around it A LOT. I work for a soil and water conservation district, I see it growing wild, left overs from a drug house, secret planted plots, you get the idea.

I don’t know if it’s pot or hemp I just know where it grows.

I know one of the past sheriffs, he told me one time they sprayed a big grow operation with chemicals. Pot heads got into it before it started to die and they almost killed the local pot heads, said a bunch of them got sick as dogs.

Should you have a medical card for alcohol or cigarettes? Making it legal recreationally removes that need and hopefully eliminates the “safety sensitive” job position restriction. The dispensaries will switch to general sale and I doubt there will be a major jump in locations with current availability of stores. Upside for state would be more tax money as I could see folks getting gummies over smoking (that would be my option).
Doubt the safety sensitive job restriction is going to go away.

I didn't believe in it for longest time. But I've mellowed in my old age. It's almost as if I've been smokin' it...

Grumpy was the same. Me "partaking" was gonna be a deal-breaker at the beginning of our relationship 20-some odd years ago. Now he's constantly telling me if I wanna stop going to PM and get my card he'll back me 100% ... And "**** the feds" ... 😳 I nearly fainted dead away! 😂😂

If I thought it would help I would definitely switch ... Problem is since the tree caused a bunch of damage to the nerves themselves (not just pain from pressure on the nerves) everything I've read, seen and heard leads me to believe it wouldn't help me even as much as what I'm doing now ... HOWEVER, the DAY I get that official Parkinson's diagnosis I'm WILL be finding a pain management place that will allow me to use MJ ...

Happy Potheads vote Democrat! Just give'm some weed and the Government can do whatever they want.
That's always the cute response, that "stoners" only vote Democrat. Hate to break you the bad news, but I know well over a dozen who smoke weed - and every single one is a Republican.

Will the additional taxes raised go to the betterment of our children? For education and raises for teachers? Then, I could really get behind it.

Would you support a big tax on ammo if it would help our teachers?

#1. - taxes are simply revenue for our "leaders" - once they steal our earnings, they will do as they see fit.

#2. - Regarding rule #1, "leaders" will lie and use every means available to convince the public that they should surrender more of their earnings.

#3. Making something legal or illegal should have zero to do with income for the state. Liberty and freedom should be the only considerations when debating such an issue.

#4. - Address actual crimes - theft, assault, murder...for what they are. Blaming the substance of choice for a crime is exactly the same as blaming a gun for a shooting. Individuals make bad decisions, blame the individual, period.

I would never advocate using drugs. I would also never advocate the state telling you what you can buy, shoot, consume, read, or drive. I hate running down Riverside and getting a big whiff of pot smoke - but it ain't any worse smelling than a Camel or a Marlboro, and it passes quickly. Who am I to tell that worthless hippie what he should or shouldn't be doing?
