Harbor freight rock tumbler is what I use cheap and keeps up easily with the amount of loading I do.
A drop of dawn few grains of lemi shine & water. you can buy stainless media but I just save the spent primers bend them in half so as not to re seat themselves (don't ask me how I know LOL). Works like a charm and did I mention cheap.

I reloaded for over 20 years without a tumbler. For the first few years I merely wiped the grit off the cases and went to it. Then I started washing the cases after depriming. Just hot water and a squirt of detergent, or laundry soap is better - fewer suds, in a container.
Shake, soak, repeat. Rinse, then out in the sun to dry.

The only reason I use a dry tumbler now is that I got one in a bulk purchase a few years ago.

What I'm saying, the long way around, is that shiney brass is the least important part of reloading. Clean is important, shiney is not.

Spend that money on a good scale, preferably a balance beam type, like a 5-0-2, or a 5-0-5. They can be found used for $30-50.

I’m looking for:

I have everything, Dillion xl650, everything is auto on it, with all alarms. 3 quick change conversations for 9mm, 45acp, 40/10mm, multiple other die sets. Brass, primers, powder, digital scale, tumbler, etc, over $6000, make offer.

Really nice stuff, However I have most of the expensive stuff already. I could only come up with about $250 right now for the stuff I have left to buy. I’m just buying a little at a time until work picks up.
