Does anyone own an older Remington 700 that has the clip slot cuts on top of the receiver? I need to cut a clip slot I to a receiver that doesn't have it and I would like to match the geometry of the original clip slots. I'm having a hard time finding a drawing with dimensions, radius, etc.

In the 90's?? the Remington 700 PSS series was made with a detachable box magazine but IIRC they discontinued it because the mag kept falling out. I know I sent mine in and they sent me a brand new rifle with the BDL style floorplate.
My understanding is that there were Remington 700s with factory clip slotted receivers in the 60s.

The M40/A1 used the clip slot whereas the A3/A5 used a "clip Lug". I figure with all the pics out there of a 40X clip slot, next to regular 700 actions, you could translate the dimensions. The M40/A1 slots were cut by Marine armorers, but the 40X is a Remington factory thing.
