I bought an old palm gun .22 to be exact and it had a huge chunk broken off one of the grips probably from being dropped. I've been doing some restorative work on a motor scooter plastic body and thought why not use the material for repairing the grip? So I tried it and it doesn't look bad at all in fact, it made the pistol look far better. Cut up some ABS plastic (has to be ABS or another type of plastic that Acetone will melt) and put in in a safe jar and pour Acetone over it and let it melt. You might have to add a little more Acetone or ABS plastic for the proper consistency to make what is called a slurry. I did all this and added a little of this slurry to the grip (leaving it on the gun) and gradually built up the area to the point it is somewhat difficult to tell a repair was made. I'll try and post a photo in a moment.
