I have an H&R Buffalo Classic in 45-70. Those things are party starters.
Most of those really like 405’s. And roll your own, loading .45-70 on a single station lee or similar is easy
Anyway mine tends to like the big heavy cast (500 gr) better for longer distances, but that comes with a price. I typically crank the 340 gr for plinking. Much more enjoyable after 20 or more rounds.
I love my 1895G. When the zombie apocalypse comes at least a zombie or two will fall to my 1895. I'll probably get eaten after that...I like the 45/70 in the marlin guide gun!
Maybe a lot more than that if they are all lined up and your using a water quenched wheel weight boolit!I love my 1895G. When the zombie apocalypse comes at least a zombie or two will fall to my 1895. I'll probably get eaten after that...
I do like that Henry single shot, though. I didn't even realize Henry did that. I'ma see if I can squeeze just one more rifle on to my "Must Have" list!
