in okc, 91st and may. has bad @$$ steaks. and other meat. i would like to duplicate his rub because its like meth, ya just cant get enough....

i assume onion powder and garlic powder are a large component.

for you cheapies like me, he has something he calls a "veiner". its a ny strip with the tendon in it that he sells for cheaper. like $12.95/lb vs $25/lb... USDA prime. freakin phenomenal.

I was in there one day and Clay Bennett was picking up steaks. 2" NY strip. Rhett calls it the Clay cut if you want to eat like an NBA owner.

Love the mashed potatoes he serves.

any deets, as to whether you think thats really it? seems like there is something sweet in there, is that what the garlic do?

Nope, just what it tasted like to me. I recreated it at home and added a few extras to improve it and that's what I've used for the last five years myself. I can't say that I'm right but that's what it tastes like to me.
