Rifle to Pistol question

I'm accquiring a Special Weapons SW32X, for those who don't know it is basically a 7.62x39 MP5 with an extension on the barell to put the length out to 16". I want to convert it to a pistol, put a cap on it instead of the stock and have the extension on the barell removed.

What needs to be done so I can be legal and stay outta jail, mabey eventally I'll SBR the gun, but I want it in the pistol configuration for the time being.

Got to keep it as a rifle, or a SBR.. A pistol can go to a rifle, but rifle can not go to pistol. If you want to take the barrel down you got to SBR the gun.
