RIP and race for pinks...the event where you roadtrip across the country with your buddies to Las Vegas...open an original packaged redline (this one is from 1971), put it on the orange track to race for pinks and lose to a 14 year old girl in the first round.
She won the event and took home about $1k in other peoples freshly opened redlines.

Buy in was a $200-300 packaged Hot Wheel from 1968-1977.
Assume they're about 1/3 value loss depending on casting.

I'm thinkin' the story will more than offset the loss of pristine packaging. I mean, what's worth more, a NIB unfired S&W Registered Magnum or "this is the S&W that Patton carried across the Rhine"?
