Yep. It turned into glue and clogged up the tines to the point they wouldn't even bounce anymore. We have tons of clay up here and I've never seen it quite this bad. I now understand perfectly why they line ponds with bentonite clay when they won't hold water.Did you water the lawn before trying to till it?
ETA: I bought it to put in a small garden bed. Probably 8' x 30'. It was on ground that hasn't been broke since at least some time before 1968. It did that with no sweat. Took me about 2 hours to have it like fine powder.
