I shot the Ruger .308 today at 100 yards with the same load..I have 50 of them made up and pulled from the same batch I had loaded months ago.
This picture shows 2 circled groups the upper one is the .308 at 1" center to center Includes cold bore shot.
So saying get to the range pull the gun and load and first 3 print 1" .
The bullet in the black tape is the first shot.

The .243 was also treated the same way and this is a new load i wanted to try.
I just got this urge to shoot 100gr flat base pills from the .243..This is a Mossberg 100atr.

That cold barrel .308 shot is on the money. That 30-30 may not be as bad as you think. Trigger pull on a lever gun sometimes show that horizontal stuff.

I am most concerned with cold barrel shot. this is one reason most of my groups are 3 shot groups.
Just a hunting gun..I need hunting accuracy.
Yea the 30-30 has a terrible trigger. that group was crap.
This was the 30-30 the same day with 2 other loads.

Hard to beat the game kings..My .223 has killed deer with them in 55gr and killed Hogs deer etc with the 55gr V-max all 1 shot drop on the spot kills.
I used to underestimate the .224 diameter bullets. Not anymore.
I will keep an eye on this magazine.
What was the failure point on the ones you had.

Great rifle, ****** magazine. You would think that's something Ruger would fix, but nope.

My daughter wants one. I need to find somebody that has one in 6.5 cm to see how she likes the recoil. Hate to get her a 243 when she can probably handle a bit more.

She can shoot mine anytime. It's a bit tacked out, but should give her an idea of recoil.

That's why I'm not crazy about the rotary mag. Spray some oil in it and load ammo. Eject them out a few times and it will loosen up.
