Mowed my range today and wanted to do some shooting. Shot a few guns and then wanted to try and hit a golf ball with my Ruger American Ranch 7.62x39 at 300 yards. This is becoming one of my favorite rifles. Fairly inexpensive set up that's compact, light weight, and pretty darn accurate. Hopefully my youngest son will be successful with it during rifle season.

I feel that is excellent in many ways Great job!.
Store ammo ...amazing.
Inexpensive rifle ...amazing.
7.62x39 and another amazing.
I hated that round.
My first experience with it was a Norico SKS 7.62x39 and anything past 100 yards forget about it.
Most hated gun I ever had, Caused me to toss stones at that round.

I have watched you shoot your Ruger with that round and it impresses me each time.
Your son should have no issues putting meat in the freezer with it.
