Good to know.IIRC there are a couple of proprietary parts on them. You might want to look into it if you want across the board compatibility with all AR parts.

9" group at 300 yards?I bought one from Atwoods in Dec 2018 when they were on sale for $480. Not bad for the money, first AR I've had in some time. Have a little over a thousand rounds through it, and there's a few loads it plain old does not like. Aguila and Armscor .223 gave it fits. Accuracy is more than acceptable, will hold around 3 MOA at 300 easily enough with M193 or M855. It seems to like the heavier bullet a touch more.
I do intend to snag a slightly higher end rifle if my taxes come out right this year, I would like a few more options. But for a bare bones rifle, it'll do fine.
If you are looking for a good price on an entry level AR-15 this isn't a bad deal. $350 with FREE shipping. (+ tax)Anybody out there with Ruger AR-556 experience? Seeing them at a pretty good price online.
Would be my first "sporting rifle".
