I'm kinda excited to see what they do with it. I really like the stuff Ruger has done recently (dont own them but they are out there making stuff thats interesting and reasonable). I think they'll do some neat stuff.

I've been wanting a Marlin 60, guess I'll wait till next year now.

Get one of the older ones. (1960-2007) Some of my best .22s are old beat up Marlins. Heck, check out the recent wreck of a Marlin I just took out to shoot. After opening it up I found there was no way it should have even been functional from all of the grime in it..

Or this one that came to me with a 2 piece stock. (Hint: it wasn't made to be 2 pieces.)

Both shoot great and ring 4" targets at 100 yards no problem.

FYI, both the Model 99c and Model 75 are actually Model 60s, just with different options.

Yes, saw that first thread on them. I would want an older one that doesn't need repairs. I was looking to buy a new one, but Academy, Bass Pro,etc are sold out. Never owned one, but owned a Ruger 10-22 and Browning 22 rifles.

.

My point was: Find a nice older one in decent condition. There really isn't much that can go wrong with them.
