I’m kind of hung up here. I have what amounts to a fairly rare handgun and can’t make up my mind on whether to sell it or not. Odds of me ever shooting it are somewhere between not likely and hell no. I have others in the caliber I do shoot. It’s a Ruger Redhawk .357 mag with a 7 1/2” barrel, six shot. While digging and unsuccessfully finding a value for it I did learn they only made them for two years. First time I saw it as a youngster it kind of cracked me up. Ya have this honking cylinder with itty bitty holes in it. If you were a manic handloader you could probably find out at what point cartridge brass vaporizes without damaging the firearm. It’s never been loaded but I don’t know if I can find the box for it. So, should I keep it or let someone else have at it? I have found something else I would replace it with. If anyone can give me an idea what it’s worth I’d appreciate it. There’s not enough out there about it to make a fair guestimation. I really can only have so many “My Precious’s” before I get accused of hoarding.
