So, I have a buddy of mine over and we are looking over some stuff. He goes, hey what is that? and points to a Ruger Redhawk that I have. "Ever think of selling it?" "Well, I don't know. You interested?" "Well, yeah." OK, so here is the deal. The Good: Ruger Redhawk, .44 Magnum, stainless, non recessed, 7.5 inch barrel, scope mount and Simmons 1x20 stainless finish scope on it. The Bad: I know that the rear sight is around here somewhere, but I haven't seen it since the scope mount was put on it. The Ugly: I have raised this since it was a .22. I adopted it out of what surely would have been a dismal existence. Nothing like the warm loving home that I have provided for it the last 15-20 years or so. I have raised it on a good diet of factory ammo and some lovingly tailored reloads. I have tried to teach it right from wrong and to always hit the 10 ring. I know that I will probably be able to have visitation in the future. Having one of my babies leave home is a new experience, and even though it will be going to a good home, sometimes you just can't bear to let them go. My definition of a good deal is something that both parties feel good about and can still be on speaking terms. Like I said, it is a friend of mine that is looking to buy it. I'm not looking to bend him over and he isn't looking to bend me over the coals. So, anyone have any idea of a value to put on this? Dave
