Ruger SR-22 HELP.

I have an interesting (possible) problem with my wife's SR-22. I hope y'all can see from the pictures the difference in mine versus hers.

Mine has an ejector (silver one, as seen through the mag well and the slide open picture), hers does NOT.

Crazy thing is, hers ejects PERFECTLY. No joke. It's a couple of years old but has been shot very little. I cleaned it after a range session and noticed that it was indeed missing. I looked back at some old pictures of it and sure as hell it was missing since day one, but it still runs like a champ.

So here are my questions:

1) Does anyone know if Ruger intentionally stopped producing the SR-22 WITHOUT the ejector? (Seems crazy they would stop, but hell, hers shoots just fine without it!)

2) Does anyone know where I can buy an ejector from (couldn't find any via Brownells, etc.)?

3) My ejector got slightly bent once and caused feeding malfunctions until I straightened it; can anyone suggest an "Upgraded," possibly harder steel after market ejector?

I’d call Ruger. There were some problems with the SR22 when they first came out. I don’t know the specifics, but there was a recall and some upgrades.

Yes, call Ruger Customer Service with the pistols' serial numbers and they can give you the correct answer. As far as aftermarket ejectors; no. Why? It should work fine; it's Ruger after all. Again, if it DOES need one, Ruger will either send you the part or send you a label to send it in. Ringer CS is legendary.
