Was curious if these are supposed to have serial numbers on the inside of the grips? Numbers on the frame and cylinder match but nothing on the grips. Any other information you want to share would be greatly appreciated!

That's a nice looking example. I wish I could help you with the information you're looking for.

I bet someone here may know, but I'm sure that several people do over on the Smith and Wesson Forums. You would have to register, but it's worth it to have a half dozen people who are members of the collector's association chime in.
