I'm toying with the idea of picking one up. Admittedly, I don't really need one but they are an intriguing idea.

It is a seven-shot L-frame in 9mm. The cylinder is made of titanium.

Man I just cannot get into the shape of any of the Performance Center guns. I'm sure they're sweet...they just miss the mark with their "updated styling".

You'll be kicking yourself for not getting the eight shot 929.

Agree 100%...way more gun for only $40 more MSRP. They look a hell of a lot better too IMHO. Here's mine sporting a 90 degree mounted C-More and a few other upgrades.

Too rich for my blood. Over $1000, plus tax. I don't want it that bad. Maybe if a wad of cash comes my way, but otherwise, no.

The 986 is $1020 - $1040 plus tax through Davidson's. Price difference between the two models is negligible and the 929 is the much better choice of the two and worth its price tag IMO. Best bet would be to keep your eye out for a used gun in like new condition. They tend to pop up now and then for decent prices and often have accessories to boot (moon clips, moon clip tools, etc).

Sorry I didn't answer you sooner but I already have a 625 that's similar to the JM. It's one that I carried when I was a PI in Kansas. It's about fifteen years old and a fine gun.
