Great post. Used to clean and tune a S&W Model 10-5 that was in dire need of attention, with bad timing and extremely dirty internals. Disassembled it, cleaned it up and replaced parts. Works like a new gun.

Great write up, thanks! I have a S&W 29-2 from 1963 that’s barely been shot, and I’m sure it hasn’t ever been fully taken down. I’m going to use this for reference, but I’m not feeling brave enough to go through all that today haha.
