I bought a Remington 700CP. It’s a 12.5” barreled pistol in .308. Stupid buy on a whim but a lot of fun to shoot. I’ve heard there are folks who use them during pistol hunting season in other states.

Pics please? I'm not familiar with that one.

NM. Googled it. Not what I was expecting. Not at all like the old XP.

Yeah. I’ve put a brace, scope, and bipod on mine.

I competed in IHMSA handgun silhouette matches for over 25 yrs. and had center grip bolt action Remington XP-100's and Savage Striker 510's and break action TC Contender and Encores all with pistol length (14" & 15") barrels......quit competing and sold all of them but one Encore frame with a 15" scoped barrel chambered in 6.5x55 Swede.

If I was going to get back into centerfire bolt action handguns again it would be a Nosler Independence M48 chambered in 7mm-08.
