Do any of you have someone you would recommend to fit a laminate stock to a Savage Axis II 6.5 Creedmoor?

I bought a Monte Carlo Sporter stock from Sharp Shooter Supply and the bolt action is binding up when the front mounting bolt is tightened just a little. The stock is pillar bedded and it seems to fit up fine. I can’t figure it out so I’m looking for a pro to make it right.

(Sharp Shooter Supply - The Savage Specialists)

The people at Sharp Shooter are nice enough but it’s just a couple, they do not take phone calls and they’re overwhelmed with business. I also bought the improved extractor and I need to get it installed as well.

I’m in OKC and I’m looking for someone local. The west side would be even better. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It has been awhile since I've had a savage to compare, but are you sure the front screw isn't too long and interfering with the action? Can't remember if front screw goes all the way through receiver or not. Just trying to think of the simple stuff before going to drastic measures.😉

Thanks I appreciate it but that’s not it. If the screw is completely loose or even out it does fine. Any little pressure at all it begins to bind. I suspect it has something to do with the way the recoil lug fits into the new stock.
