The Browning 22 auto ~may~ have 3/8" dovetail or "tip-off" mounts machined into the top of the receiver. I haven't seen one in a number of years so I can't remember. But as scopes go, 22s really don't need much. A 4x32 is usually sufficient for most shooting.

thanks for the information and the link. The rifle shoots well just would like a scope to help see those pesky tree rats!
