Can’t go wrong with a larue mount.
I had a few of the Aero mounts for my aimpoints and while they never failed, I didn’t have much faith in their durability. I was always babying those rifles.
The larue mounts are really good stuff though.

Yeah, scope impinging upon the charging handle pull really is a bother.
You'd think somebody would have an after market big to one side pull handle.
They got after market for everything else!
There are extended charging handle latches available.

I'll toss in a vote for the Vortex mount. I've had one mounted on my 3 gun competition rifle for at least 5 years of abuse getting thrown into dump barrels, being slammed into shooting barricades thrown on the ground etc and I've never lost my zero or even had to re torque the mounting bolts.
