I would send more than 5,200. These scum bags need to be met with the full might and power of the US military. Wipe them off the face of the planet. Then the criminals will think twice before pulling a stunt like this again. It’s time to stop pussyfooting around. These people are doing this because they think they can and nothing bad will happen. From what I can gather, they will push the women and children ahead of them. Some sort of "passive" crowd control methods are needed.

The intent is probably not to get across the border but rather to generate photos that can be used to make the U.S and Trump look bad. One photo of a scared child is all they need for the progressive media to eat it up.

It's not a caravan, it's an INVASION. Call it like it is. A mass of people wanting to breech our borders while carrying a flag of a foreign state is nothing short of an invasion and should be treated as such. The best way to stop this is for America to restrict all cash wire transfers from America to Mexico (26.1 BILLION annually). Mexico would stop this nonsense at their own southern borders to keep their cash flow from America.

The military is going down there as a logistics support group. Border patrol agents, even some desk bound ones will be in the field enforcing US law.
The military has zero enforcement powers. They can't touch, detain, or do anything even if they come across the borden en masse other to defend themselves by law.
Obama sent the military to the border during his tenure as well. Trump is just doing it much faster and in a grander style.
