Then they should send him home. My dad knew his time was near and wanted the same. They honored his wishes.
Sorry to hear about this. It's a sad time.

He's too far gone to leave now. His "home" is a nursing home. If they let him back in (crazy times, remember) they would just send him right back.

At 9:30pm, the nurse gave him a dose of morphine. He's sleeping pretty good right now. The best thing that could happen now is if he just didn't wake up.

I know that sounds awful, but...it is what it is.

Well...it's finished. He went peacefully in his sleep about 10 minutes ago. I appreciate all the prayers and kind words from everybody. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
