[QUOTE="CSeverns, post: 3838092, member: 44527"] I recently noticed these new stripped lowers made by Sharps Bros. which is a company that’s better known for their billet lowers shaped to look like skull heads, spartan helmets, and warthogs. They‘ve been making the billet versions of the Livewire lower for a couple of years but these newer versions are forged and have an ambi bolt catch, 3 safety selector positions on both sides, a threaded rear takedown pin recess, an oversized integrated trigger guard, and a flared magwell. I’ve always favored forged lowers rather than the billet ones because they’re stronger. But what I don’t like is that there aren’t many features, and that they‘re all pretty much the same, other than the roll mark on the side of the magwell. Sharps Bros. has found a way to forge these lowers efficiently but I couldn’t find much information on how they did this. They retail for $130 but can be found for less than $100 if you look in the right spots. This one could be a game changer. Thoughts?
