Shed Hunting

So how long do sheds last in the wild? I remember hearing years ago that ants and other insects will start eating on them. Is that true? If so, how quickly will they disappear ?

Mice eat them pretty quickly. Don't know about insects but I think even squirrels eat on them.

Not what I was expecting. Coyote must of carried it . Closest goats are at least a mile away.i found a bale of hay they missed too

Found one side of a shed on a trail yesterday. Young buck. Would have been an 8 point if the other side matched. Rode the ATV almost 15 miles around the fence lines and across fields.
Didn't really care if any were found or not, it was a great day to be out riding and found a couple of projects to do before next deer season.

Kicked one in the dark last night. Recognized the sound. Picked it up and continued the sneak on some pigs.

My BIL and nephews found one on my place on a soupy day a couple of weeks ago. No pigs were found, but the feeders got filled.
