In most states a persons home when inhabited is considered highly defensable property and all like that. That said, Sheriff Bob Johnson isn't the person that determines if shooting the bad guy is justifiable, that is determied by the Prosecutor. And what is a Prosecutors job, his/her only job, that's right, putting people in prison. So maybe it might be a good idea find out the Prosecutors take on the subject. Wouldn't want Sherriff Bob shaking one of your hands while he's cuffing the other.

Well, not in my house. FACT: Oklahoma has a Stand Your Ground law. You do know what that means don't you? Basically if I feel threatened by any burglar in my house at night, I can put the SOB in the morgue and the local prosecutor can go pound sand. Plain, simple and it's a fact jack.

Well, Sheriff Bob Johnson is probably only talking about his county anyway because that's where he has jurisdiction.

"Sheriff Bob Johnson isn't the person that determines if shooting the bad guy is justifiable," -- I'm pretty sure he is the guy who determines that based on his investigation and recommendations. A prosecutor can one-up him or something by bringing charges but then he has to prove it in court. A prosecutor's job is not to determine if something was "justifiable", his job is to prosecute people and prove they are guilty so they can go to jail.
In the end, it still boils down to Sheriff Bob's investigation results and recommendation for his county. Kinda like Comey did with HRC or any countless numbers of sheriffs around the country.

This takes on a whole different meaning when that prosecutor/DA is a Soros protege or a leftist Anti-2nd Amendment sycophant that drinks copious daily amounts of socialist Kool-Aid. This type of individual is more concerned with advancing their agendas than finding the truth and a just verdict.

Just sayin', you never know how a thing will turn out.

Doing everything possible to avoid contact with the criminal justice system is always the best move.

Remember George Zimmerman, the police chief said they couldn't arrest Zimmerman because of Florida's SYG law but 6 weeks later he was charged by a special prosecutor appointed by the Governor, so much for SYG laws, mostly not worth the ink it takes to write them.

Maybe it takes 74 days for an arrest to be made.

Maybe the county Prosecutor get's fired and is arrested resulting from not filing charges.

Maybe the state AG takes over and the case is prosecuted.

The above occurring in the McMichael's incident.

You just never know.

Ya, but I'm pretty sure Sheriff Bob and the County commissioners got a handle on it. Now if this was an urban high-density democrat population like in St. Louis or Seattle or something, it would probably most definitely not happen and the sheriff of King County, WA or whatever county St. Louis is in, wouldn't be saying that. But that's like comparing apples to oranges, it's just not the same, so i think Sheriff Bob is probably good to go.

Are we still talking about shooting intruders in a home?
