Tulsa Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Midtown.

It happened at Moe's Grill on the corner of 6th & South Lewis Avenue about 7:30, Tuesday night.

Police say a former Okmulgee County Reserve Sheriff's Deputy was inside talking with the owner when a man walked in, who the deputy had arrested in the past.

The man pulled up his shirt, showed a gun and started a verbal altercation with the former lawman.

That's when officers say he pulled out his own gun, fired a shot and killed the man.

Between six and ten people witnessed the shooting.

The former reserve deputy was licensed to carry a concealed gun.

No word if any charges will be filed in the case.

Possibly another CCW case to learn from :anyone:

I actually heard on the Channel 6 news this morning that the shooter wasn't actually ever a reserve deputy, that he was dismissed from his CLEET or whatever classes before he finished.

If what is reported is true he's already made a false statement and needs to keep his mouth shut. Tim Harris is gonna have a field day with this guy if he doesn't get no billed.

"The man pulled up his shirt, showed a gun and started a verbal altercation with the former lawman."

That is why you never brandish a gun.

started a verbal altercation with the former lawman.
The Tulsa World stated that the guy came in the store and saw the former deputy who was talking to the store clerk and noticed he was someone who had previously arrested him, he then lifted his shirt and showed a gun in his waistband and stated," You want some of this?". Guess he did because then he shot him. People outside said they thought that they heard 8-10 shots.
