Shot placement was perfect on these 2. First dropped where she stood. The other was running and did a cartwheel.

I'm pretty sure that's how all feral pigs got started. The last one I shot sure looked like it had Hampshire in it.....or at least his mommy did.😆

Sure do...I bet they're someone's pets that got out.
Fair game I guess. I left our range a couple months ago seeing a huge pot bellied pig walking along the road. It was 1/2 mile from several homes walking toward them. Couldn't bring myself to shoot it as it just stopped and looked at me when I stopped along side of it. Didn't have permission to shoot on that property anyway so no foul on my part and yes, it was probably a pet.

223/5.56 has worked for me, but I prefer my 7.62 guns...AK's & 308 bolt rifles. The "high neck" shot right behind the ears has always been kind to me, drops 'em right away.

Placement looks odd with this one' cause I came up behind it at a creek crossing, shot over it's backside into the neck/head. 1x 5.56 55gr FMJ, back when that was all I had.
