If you want an Italian gun, get a Farbarm and you will not be disappointed. My L4S is my favorite but the Waterfowler is great too.

If you want to stay American, do not discount the Mossberg 940 or the Savage Renagauge. The later is not very well known but I enjoy mine.

Good luck!

Opening up a new can of worms…..

Semi-auto 12 ga, 3”, field gun??

I’m looking to buy a new shotgun for 1st time since 1980. I have some pumps, and a fancy over-under, but as I’m aging, I thought I’d buy a new auto 12 ga, mainly for duck hunting, bucket list pheasant hunt up north, etc. I don’t need a 3.5” chamber, killed plenty with 3” and I have a 10 ga in the stash.

Since Browning recently stopped making the BPS, thought I’d look at an automatic, what do y’all like? Benelli, REM, Maxus, new A-5, Turkish wonder of the month, ???

Talk to me OSA. (And I may decide to just keep shooting “ole reliable” BPS…..)
Can I interest you in a Browning sweet 16? It's killed many pheasant and quail over the last 50 years. Kinda a collector so it's not cheap but it Browning and functions fine.

DO NOT BUY A BENELLI SBEIII. Unless of course you like to shoot really high and to the left.

Google "Benelli SBE3 shooting high" for all the reading you need on it. Two examples:
