Should felony threshold be lowered back down to $500 again?

When I started law enforcement $50 was the threshold We had a lot less thefts then $50 was also for criminal damage to property Not many of those either till the state moved it to $500

What I've been told is for someone to be put away for any considerable amount of time is multiple charges like the possession of stolen items, a firearm, and drugs. Otherwise, it's not worth charging them because they end up spending little to or no time behind bars.

Get rid of felony theft all together. $99.99 amd under, petty larceny amd treated as so. $100-500 take a finger. $1000 up removal of the entire hand. With this comes forfeiture of disability benefits as the disability relates to the punishment of crimes
