Shoulder pad recommendations

Sadly with time my shoulder is beat. I have a problem with numbness in my hand after shooting. I bought a PAST shooting pad at Academy and it helps but it moves all over and not very comfortable. I was wanting a vest with heavy padding but didnt see much online. I shoot a lot of Milsurp bolt guns with steel butt plates need as much cushion as possible.

Is there anything out there that you personally recommend?

I use the Past Magnum shoulder pad when shooting the bigger bores. Granted the mounting system is a little suspect, but its not too hard to move to the sweet area and make shooting comfortable.

They still make slip-on rubber recoil pads (less than $20 IIRC), you might try one of those those. I put one on an old Iver-Johnson single-shot 12 gauge I traded for that had no buttplate. Made a huge difference.

Have you thought of using something like this. My Manners stock came with a pachmayr decelerated pad and I really like it.
