Was able to pick up a nice 1891 Argentine Mauser Cavalry Carbine today as my next project. One question I have is about drifting the front sight (if needed) when checking the zero on this one. Is it necessary to remove the nose cap to make adjustments or is there a pusher type tool that I have not been able to find info on yet?

Had to order a new magazine assembly and front hand guard which is a shame, as the crest is in tact and all the numbers match. But it is going to be a shooter, so not really bummed about it.

Lighting in the house isn't conducive to photos, but here is the carbine minus the parts on order.

Got some of the missing parts in today, will be cleaning and installing tonight. Still waiting on the top hand guard and a few newer screws for cosmetic reasons. New picks on the way.

Replacement magazine installed for test fit. Needs a new lock screw.
