One thing I wish I had noticed before I made the order,,,
They also have some of the Model 81BB,,,
The price for the BB is only $229.99.

I would have gladly spent the extra $20 to get the slightly newer version,,,

Oh well,,,
That's life!

Don't be showing me that stuff. I've been talking myself out of a .32 for quite some time now. I do not need to add any more calibers to my ammo cabinet, and my safe, and my closet(s), and my reloading bench, and ...

I'll tell you one thing about Classic Firearms,,,
They don't waste any time.

I placed the order before Noon on Tuesday the 12th,,,
They had it being picked up by Fed Ex within three hours time.

I checked my credit card on-line and by 3:00 PM Tuesday,,,
The charge appeared on my on-line statement,,,
That means Fed Ex had the package.

I checked the delivery status this Morning (Thursday the 14th),,,
The package is on the truck to be delivered to The Evil Pawn Shop.

That's some fast service,,,
What an amazing world we live in these days.

I remember as a kid in the early 60's,,,
I mail ordered a British 303 from a catalog company,,,
While the gun was delivered to my door by the U. S. Postman,,,
The total time from mailing the money order to receipt of the gun was over three weeks.

But...but...but... it's a... it's a 32...

Oh c'mon now,,,
Good things come in small packages.

I own a Beretta 85 that holds 8 rounds of 380,,,
Let's do some Okie math.

8 times .38 = 3.04" of bullets in the bad guy,,,
12 times .32 = 3.84" of bullets in the bad guy.

By my redneck calculations in this case,,,
The .32 wins.

Well I picked up my new-to-me Beretta Thursday evening,,,
I am very pleased with the gun and it's condition.

It's definitely used,,,
But not abused.

If any of you are tempted by this gun,,,
Know one thing about it.

For the $209.00 price you get a Beretta 81,,,
For $229 you can get a Beretta 81BB.

I didn't notice the BB when I made the order,,,
I think I would have spent the extra $20.00 if I had.

There's nothing wrong about the base model,,,
But I already own a very nice 85BB,,,
Matching would have been nice.

Here are the first pics of my new baby.

As you can see the gun isn't banged up at all,,,
There are no dings or scratched in the metal.

The slide does show holster wear on all of the high points,,,
But they aren't objectionable at all,,,
They just show normal wear.

I can fix that with some cold blue if I decide to,,,
But for now I'll leave her alone.

The one surprise was the roll mark,,,
While it is on the bottom of the trigger guard,,,
It's deeply stamped and painted with some white filler.

Again, it's not all that bad,,,
I'll just use some black enamel if it starts to bother me.
It would have been nice if Classic would have disclosed it though.

After an hour of fondling it I am very pleased with the purchase,,,
$209.00 base price for a Beretta pistol is a real deal.

I picked up some ball ammo for the gun,,,
Hopefully I will be able to range test her tomorrow.
