I have to agree with others, carry what you’re comfortable with. And practice with what you carry. Shot placement is more important than capacity otherwise you will fall down the same rabbit hole as auto versus revolver or which caliber is better.

I've been EDCing a S&W Shield EZ for a few months now. It shoots great and I actually really like it. Sure, I'm not who it was originally marketed for, but a gun that you'll have every day is worth infinitely more than one you'll leave at home. I would also be a lot more upset if my 92 Elite LTT Beretta ended up in a police evidence locker in the event I had to use it.
