Sling Swivel Mount

Not quite sure how to explain this clearly, so please bear with me. This should be easy, but nope!

I have this old style sling mount on my rifle, but it's too narrow to accept my new sling (which is odd because it's just a standard East German military sling for East German MPi-KM style furniture).

The mount length is just under 1 1/8" where the sling is suppose to go through (too narrow). It probably needs to be closer to 1 1/2".

I've tried online and local (Sears, Brigadoons, Bass Pro, Cabela's, et. al) and you guessed it- no dice..

Does anyone have an old school mount that would work? If so, please PM me and maybe we can work something out monetarily.

I'll include some pics showing dimensions. Some are in metric and some imperial. If you need clarification, please ask.

Those were either meant to use leather slings (like 1") or the slings with the little leather adapter, which is even more narrow.

You're probably right. I can't think of a more plausible explanation. If I can't solve this, I'll use the sling on another rifle, Or, maybe someone wants to trade me their thinner leather one..
