Slugs, buckshot or birdshot. Which do you choose?

This guy convinced me that buckshot is the way to go. I previously was always a fan of larger shot like 4 or 5s but looks like I was wrong.

Thoughts?

My HD shotgun is loaded with 00 buckshot. I’ve never shot a person with it, but I’ve killed a bunch of deer and pigs with it.

I think 00 buck pellets are pretty close to 9mm diameter so that's like a whole magazine worth of 9mm in one shell!!!!

Dang, close. 00 is .33 and 000 is .36

#1 buck through triple ought, whatever is available.. ( you can now get #1 in 20 ga)

1 oz slug, 1 1/8 oz 00 buck, or 1 1/8 oz is all about the same at 10' imo. Shoot paper at 10' with a slug and with bird shot and holes are nearly identical. Doesn't really matter which of those three imo, have to be able to hit your target with all three or the size and shape of the load doesn't matter one bit.

I seriously doubt there’s going to be a noticeable difference by the recipient either.
