How does the bore look?

Nice and shiny/crisp. The exterior finish is typical of most LE service revolvers of the era, but the bore is great and action is tight. There is a nick on the underside of the muzzle, but it doesn’t extend to the bore.

That is an awesome gun you have there. You should be scolded for even considering letting it go.

Oh I know. It took some introspection for sure, but I don’t hardly shoot or carry it. I find myself with my 686 or K frame if I feel like I need a revolver.
